One Game
A game should feel like one game from the first screen to the last. This sprint is about the places where it does not yet: a filter that works one way in the Market and another in the Collection, or a panel that opens differently depending on where you tapped.
“A game should feel like one game from the first screen to the last.”
Filtering is getting one shape everywhere, and choosing traits will be a single picker instead of a wall of checkboxes. Panels, menus and pop-ups are being brought into one family, so they open, close and behave the same wherever you meet them.
On a phone, the top bar will keep its shape and show readable titles, notices will sit in a slim strip, and the Market will lose some of its clutter. Your Collection's bulk actions are being redrawn too, so selecting several geckos shows you what you picked and what each button will do before you press it.
Long names and long morph lines should never cover the card beside them. We are fixing that in the pedigree and the Market, and giving the pedigree a tidier legend and generation controls.
Gecktopia is also becoming something you can install. Added to your home screen, it will respect the edges of your phone, tell you when there is something new, and show a friendly page when you are offline.
