Daily care

The Today's care row on Collectiongives the whole collection three separate actions: Feed, Clean and Mist. Mist also gives fresh water. Choose an action when its row says Ready. When it succeeds, the row says Done and shows the reputation earned. Each action is ready again after 24 hours. Missing a day creates no debt.

Feeding and misting each spend one unit per gecko that eats, including hatchlings. Cleaning normally does too; a working Springtail Culture reduces Fresh Substrate use. Retired, sold and locked geckos do not use these supplies. When a row says it needs a supply, its Get link opens that item in the Shop. A simple routine is to open Collection, do each ready action and check which supply will run out first. See Supplies and how long they last and reputation from care.

Supplies and how long they last

A new program receives the supplies for feeding, cleaning and misting with its starting purse. Open Inventory to see what remains, and Shop Care to buy more. Each purchase holds a different number of uses. Feeding and misting each use one unit per gecko that eats, and cleaning normally does too, so a larger collection uses supplies faster.

Prepared Misting Water30 enclosure-day

The Shop shows an estimated daily cost and how long your present supplies may last at the current pace. It uses today's prices and stock, so it changes as your collection changes. The Springtail Culture in Shop Housing reduces Fresh Substrate used while it is working. Keep a little more than the estimate if a clutch will hatch soon. A Mister Cartridge replaces hand misting water only while the Automatic Mister can run. A Shed Support Kit is another Care supply: one use helps one gecko through a shed, as Shedding explains.

The Shop estimates daily care cost and the first supply to run out.

The Automatic Mister

Buy the Automatic Mister in Shop Housing. It looks after fresh water and misting for the whole collection when a Mister Cartridge has stock. The cartridge is sold under Care. One run uses a cartridge unit for each gecko that eats. The misting slot on Collection shows how long the cartridge may last at your present collection size.

After it runs, its notice offers Collect. Choose that to take the reputation for that day's misting. It does not make feeding or cleaning happen for you. If the cartridge is empty, the ordinary Mist action returns; get another cartridge or use prepared misting water. When the collection is paused, the Mister waits with its clock. See Locking and pausing.

The Automatic Mister has misted and holds a reward to collect.

Shedding

A gecko in shed carries an In shed mark on its card and page. Its colour looks quieter until it is bright again. A shed takes 1 day of the gecko's own clock. Growing geckos begin another shed after 2 to 4 days; adults after 17 to 25 days. Each interval is drawn anew, so the page's own countdown is the one to follow.

You can let a shed finish on its own. To finish it now, open the gecko from Collection and choose Help it shed. That spends one use of a Shed Support Kit from Shop Care. Help all on Collection uses kits for geckos in shed, beginning with the one that has waited longest. Helping earns no reputation. A locked gecko cannot be helped until it is unlocked. See Supplies and how long they last for the Shop and Inventory routine.

The In shed mark and Help it shed control appear for a gecko in shed.

Treats

A treat is something a gecko enjoys, not a meal for the collection. Live Crickets and Live Dubia Roaches are in Shop Care. On a gecko's page, choose Offer a treat, choose which treat and confirm. To offer one to several geckos, choose Offer treats on Collection, select the geckos and confirm. Each chosen gecko uses one feeding from your stock.

The first treat offering in 7 days earns the care reputation for the geckos treated; later offerings in that window are still allowed but do not earn another bonus. The picker says when the next bonus can be earned and refuses an offering larger than the stock. If there is no treat in Inventory, the picker points back to the Shop. See reputation from care.

A gecko’s page offers a treat without changing its daily meal.

Tail loss

An adult gecko with its tail can drop it in a chance event while you browse. The notice names the gecko and links to its page. Its Collection card says Tail dropped, and its page records when it happened. This is a change to that gecko's appearance, not an action you need to repeat. Locked geckos and a paused collection do not have a tail-loss event. See Small finds for where past events are kept.

A tail-loss notice names the gecko and leads back to the Collection.

Locking and pausing

Lock a gecko from the actions on its own page when you want to set it aside. Its biological clock stops: it does not age, grow, shed or breed until you unlock it. It also stays out of the geckos that eat or take treats. The page shows what is waiting under While locked. Unlock it there when it is ready to rejoin the program.

A pause of the whole collection holds every gecko's clock and its waiting timers. Collection shows what was ready before the pause and offers Resume Collection. Read that summary before resuming; then care and other clocks continue from where they waited. The Automatic Mister and Springtail Culture wait too. See Daily care for the routine once the collection is running again.

A locked gecko’s page says that growth and breeding wait.

Reputation from care

Feed, Clean and Mist each earn reputation when they succeed. The grant rises as more geckos need care, but grows more slowly than the headcount. The Care row shows the exact grant after an action; the same care action cannot earn again until it is ready. A treat offering may earn its own bonus under the treat rule.

For a short daily path, do the ready actions on Collection, read their Done states and return when they are ready again. Extra presses do not add reputation. Keep supplies in view so a missing item does not interrupt the routine.

A completed Feed action shows the reputation it earned.

Small finds

A small find can turn up while you visit Collection, a gecko's page, the Market or the Shop. It may be Coins or a spare care supply; a shed skin can also appear when the Living Atlas is available. A notice tells you what turned up and what was added. You do not spend anything to receive it.

Open Past events from the sidebar to read a find again. A tail-loss notice also appears here and leads to the gecko it names. These chance finds are a welcome extra, not a supply plan. Keep your regular care stock ready in Inventory.

A spare care supply notice offers Past events for later reading.
